I’m proud to own the base ‘Sport’ model of the Mazda5 since that’s the only one on which you could get the 6MT. I found this badge at the junkyard and was thinking of adding it to the back of my car.
Bonus points if you know what car it came from originally.

Re-badging is only silly when it’s a lie; for example, p utting M badges on your 328 is foolish beca us e everyone knows it has the wrong wheels, wrong exh au st, wrong bumper, etc.. . Putting Sport badge on your sport model is A-ok. I say do it

The hatcback model of my Accent was literally badged ‘Sporty’ in South Korea. The hatchback model was known as the ‘Verna Sporty’ over there, with the sedan being the Verna, lol.

At one point I was considering ///M5 badging as a joke/not joke. Nobody would possibly mistake my cheap minivan for a performance sedan, and it sort of is an M5, in a way. It’s certainly easier to call it that than the correct name, specifically ‘ Mazda Mazda5' ...

I... I honestly lean toward debaging, but it’s completely a personal taste issue. I have one rear quarter window allotted for stickers and use the the basic, red reflective license place holders - kind of a “functional” look. I was going to say Honda Accord for your “sport” badge, but looks like I am wrong!

As a middle-aged male, anything listed as ‘ED’ is not something I want to be associated with. I could see a NASCAR racer sponsored by Pfizer...
When I was in the ER earlier this year I asked why the wheelchairs said ‘ED Department’ on them. No, not that ED. It struck me as sounding kind of stupid, like when someone says VIN number - a bit redundant when the D in ED stands for ‘ department’...

I get really bothered when people shorten the tesla model 3 to "m3" it just seems wrong. However, this would be awesome since I love the Mazda 5 anyways.

The badge would work better on a brotruck.
So you don’t like using ATM machines?

I was thinking of the M5 badging on the fenders. There really isn't a grille on this car, and I'd like to leave the factory badging on the hatch.

Based on the replacement horn sound (thanks to my drowning the factory horn) which actually sounds like my old Vanagon (and I loved that horn), my car has the nickname ‘Meeper’

Anything debadged just screams "i have the base model one" dont do it, and if it is the base one it is cool to own it. Sometimes the lighter engine car is lighter in the twisties

Depends on the vehicle, I guess. Some cars have too many badges and it’s nice to clean it up a little. Other times, a lack of badges makes it look like somebody bought a replacement [trunk lid or whatever] and didn’t finish the job by putting the badges back on.

I might get the JDM badges for my TSX wagon, maybe Type S or Special Edition.
